2022 marks the Year of the Tiger, and to celebrate this, the Beaverton brand have unleashed the Nike Blazer Mid "Chinese New Year". While this isn't the first time that they've released a sneaker with this theme, they've certainly gone all out with the CNY-inspired details here - and here's everything that we know so far!
The first thing that you'll probably notice about this Blazer Mid is the plush quilted uppers that give off an opulent vibe. Painted in blue, cream, pink, and white tones, even though this is a nod to CNY it's still pretty wearable no matter what time of the year it is. A trio of jade shapes adorn the heel to symbolise "Shapeless, Formless, Limitless", just like the accompanying Air Force 1.
A series of stainless steel D-rings make their way across the shoe to tie the extra long rope laces, and to round off this special edition sneak, a red pebbled leather Nike Swoosh shoots across the lateral and medial side panels, adding a bit of luck and prosperity to the design.
With Chinese New Year coming on February 1st this year, we should expect the Nike Blazer Mid "Shapeless, Formless, Limitless" to drop around the same time. Let us know what you think of this sneaker, and in related news, the Air Jordan 1 Low OG "Chinese New Year Tiger" is limited to just 5,000 pairs!
