The Nike By You x MACCIU Air Zoom Type Showcases a Deconstructed Aesthetic

The Nike By You x MACCIU Zoom Type is the latest special edition model that’s being offered for customisation via Nike’s website. The By You service has been a hit for as long as we can remember (even back when it was known as NikeiD), and many will be excited to see the arrival of this brand-new silhouette for customisation!

MACCIU is a Japanese artist and graphic designer who already holds a strong relationship with the Oregon-based brand, having worked closely with Nike to create artwork for 2020’s Air Max Day celebrations. The designer’s signature flair is applied to the new silhouette, with users able to pick from thousands of colour combinations to create a truly one-of-a-kind pair of sneakers!

The Zoom Type launched earlier this month as a lifestyle-based variant of the Swoosh’s Air Zoom Alphafly NEXT%, the highly in-demand running sneaker that Eliud Kipchoge famously broke the sub 2 hour marathon record in! The blend between high-end technology and creative flair seen here appears absolutely seamless, and these are certainly a clean pair of kicks that we’d love to add to our collection!
