When it first dropped, the Dunk Disrupt did exactly what it was supposed to do – disrupt the market. Sometimes, variations on silhouettes aren’t always as sought-after as the originals, but the Disrupt seems to have gone down a storm. Now the silhouette has entered a V2, this is still as true as ever, and it’s nice to see that Nike are able to get more creative with the detailing on the Dunk Disrupt 2. The newest variation, the Dunk Disrupt 2 “Caramel Croc” sees the shoe swap out its usual all-suede construction for something a little more premium, so here’s what to expect.
The “Caramel Croc” Dunk Low Disrupt 2 incorporates a mix of materials, with a soft caramel-coloured suede base giving way to premium brown overlays that take on a crocodile skin pattern. Visible stitching adds to the Disrupt 2’s deconstructed look, and helps to tone down the oversized outlined Nike Swoosh that sweeps across the sidewalls. Above this, a more delicate, raised embroidered mini Swoosh appears in a similar brown hue to the overlays, continuing to play on the “Caramel” theme.
Elsewhere, the leather detailing also appears on the heel tab, and a stitched on leather panel also wraps itself around the “Caramel Croc” Dunk Disrupt 2’s heel. The tongue appears to come crafted from a tan-coloured twill fabric, and tonal Nike tongue branding sits off-centre at the top. A white midsole adds a pop of contrast, whilst a brown outsole rounding off the colourway nicely. To finish, a set of creamy-coloured laces tie the pair together.
The “Caramel Croc” Nike Dunk Low Disrupt 2 has already hit the shelves in Japan, so it’s fair to assume that a UK release will follow shortly. In the meantime, be sure to hit the links under the images to get notified as soon as they drop, as this will guarantee your best chance of copping!
