Nike is set to add to its Dunk High line-up with a Lakers-inspired colourway, and whilst basketball culture isn’t quite as prevalent in the UK as it is in the US, we can still appreciate a classic colour combination when we see one. Whilst the Nike Dunk High “Lakers Court Purple” isn’t officially associated with the team, the iconic colour palette certainly lends itself well to the basketball silhouette, which was originally designed to come in college colours.
Arriving in a smooth leather build, the Dunk High “Lakers Court Purple” sees a bright gold shade take over the base, stretching over the tongue, sidewalls, toe box and collars, whilst rich “Court Purple” pours over the pair’s overlays, lining and Nike Swoosh. Nike branding hits also receive the Lakers-inspired touch, with a purple logo sitting atop a yellow tongue, and a reverse-coloured version can be spotted on the insole. This sits atop a clean white midsole which adds a more neutral touch to the “Lakers Court Purple” Dunk High’s colourway, before bleeding into a “Court Purple” toned outsole to round out the theme.
The “Lakers Court Purple” Nike Dunk High is set to drop sometime over the next couple of months, so if you’re looking to add an iconic colourway to your collection make sure to hit the release reminder buttons to get notified as soon as they drop!
Up next, green tones and leopard print dress this new Dunk Low.
