The Swoosh brand have had a stellar year of Dunk releases, so why not go back to the classics. Nike have teased a re-release of the original "University Red" colourway, first debuted as part of the 'Be True To Your School' pack back in 1985. The iteration was originally an ode to St. John's University based in New York: the alma mater of NBA champion Chris Mullen and the late Malik Sealy.
Dressed with red, smooth leather overlays this Nike Dunk stays true to its roots with a simple crisp-white upper, tongue and midsole. Underfoot, there is a red rubber outsole to match the cherry-red lace unit and iconic Nike Swooshes on the medial and lateral sidewall. In true Dunk fashion, there is feature stitching on the heel, as well as a 'Varsity Red' panel. A branding label at the top of the cushioned tongue reminds us of the sneakers' roots, whilst perforations across the toe box enhance breathability, making for a sporty and comfortable sneak.
We don't yet have a release date for the re-release of the OG Nike Dunk High Red White, but keep it locked into The Sole Supplier to find out when and where they'll drop. In the meantime, make sure to download our app and check out the latest Jordan 1 Low that's hitting the shelves.
