Animal print has been around since forever, and with the Dunk hype not slowing down any time soon, it seems only right that Nike jump on that train and use, not one, not two, but three different types of animal print on three different iterations of Dunk. They do say good things come in threes...
First of all, the Nike Dunk Low Leopard Black was unveiled in some images by @atmos_tokyo, saying the special pair would be releasing on 18th September in Japan. This doesn't seem to be the case for the UK, but hopefully we're not too far behind.
As we can see from the images, smooth leather dresses the upper, and with it being pretty much entirely in "Black", this contrasts to the crisp-white rubber midsole below. All done up with a matching black lace unit, the only deviation away from this monochrome colour scheme is the Nike Swooshes on the medial and lateral sidewalls.
On all three colourways, leopard print takes over the curly end of the Swoosh, whilst the middle appears in a textured, croc pattern, before the whole thing is finished up with a metallic fabric on the end. This triple-toned detailing really makes an impression, especially against the dark backdrop.
Unlike on the "Black" iteration, the centre of the Swooshes on the "White" and "Pink" Dunks come in a darker colour, allowing the tick to contrast against the pale-hued upper. The white doesn't stray far from the "Triple-White" colourway seen previously, whilst the pink reminds us of the "Particle Beige" palette seen on models such as the Air Force 1.
All made from durable materials that are easy to wipe clean, these are going to be the Dunks to cop this winter. Perforations across the toe box allow for enhanced breathability and padded cushioning around the ankle and on the tongue reassure you that these kicks are going to be just as comfortable as all the others in your collection.
