In case you didn't know, the 'Be True To Your School' pack changed the game for Nike, as the year 1985 saw the release of a number of Dunks. They debuted as Nike's 'team shoe' in a number of schools' colours, including Michigan, Georgetown, Syracuse, St. John's, UNLV and Kentucky. Kentucky's school colours took on an extremely clean white and blue colourway, which translated excellently onto the Dunk High silhouette. It wasn't until 1998 we saw the Nike Dunk Low make a name for itself, but since it has certainly made its mark in the sneaker sphere.
For 2022, a reconstruction of the Nike Dunk Low "Kentucky" will be rereleasing with a twist. Not an exact copy of the original, or the reissue from 2020 which released alongside a "Syracuse" Low, this "Racer Blue" edition makes for an amazing alternative if you've missed out before. Admittedly, it's difficult to tell the difference between the two. The "Racer Blue" appears to have a slightly lighter shade of blue compared to the "Kentucky". The official images have also swapped out a blue lace unit for a white one, but the branding labels and embroidery on the heel remain the same.
We don't currently have a release date for the Nike Dunk Low "Racer Blue", but keep locked in to The Sole Supplier find out more information as and when we have it.
