Nike's growing Dunk collection shows no sign of slowing down as new additions continue to appear on the release line-up. After hosting a collaboration with Virgil Abloh's Off-White "Dear Summer" ensemble, the silhouette took on a new form dubbed Scrap that has now emerged in a Nike Dunk Low Scrap "Black Gum" colourway.
The design maintains a low-top profile for easy wear but contrasts with the original setup via the additional weirdly-shaped overlaying panels fixed from heel to toe. Mesh is introduced on the midfoot plates of the lateral and medial sides, while suede accents are injected elsewhere for a subtle touch of premium goodness.
As for the colour palette, the panels opt for a blacked-out makeup with lighter hints of grey here and there for a contrasting touch. Finalising this Virgil Abloh's Off-White "Dear Summer" look-alike is the gum rubber outsole beneath the feet providing more durability and grip than your average Dunks.
Whether or not you're a fan of this material-heavy Dunk, the Nike Dunk Low Scrap "Black Gum" is undeniably one of its best renditions so far.
