The Nike Dunk Low has arguably been the most successful silhouette of 2021, with a lot of that success being down to Nike’s genius marketing moves when it comes to launch products! The latest in a stream of brand-new colourways to be unveiled by the brand is the “University Blue” Dunk Low, that draws influence from the UNC (University of North Carolina) team colours, Michael Jordan’s rookie team.
While this version is noticeably similar to the “Sail Coast'' variant that launched earlier on this year, there are a number of differences. The most obvious change being that this pair will launch in a full men’s size run, while the aforementioned releases were a WMNS exclusive.
The Dunks are crafted from premium leather throughout for a high-end look and show off traditional colour blocking that consists of both UNC blue and white. Nike’s signature Swoosh logo runs across both sides while Nike typeface branding is located on the tongue and heel (this was previously yellow on the last release).
Underfoot, a white rubber midsole and blue outsole combination house a full-length Nike Air cushioning unit that’s ideal for long days of wear. While the Dunk was original designed for use on the hardwood basketball court, there’s no denying that it’s become a force to reckon with in the lifestyle sector.
