We're not sure if there have been some changes to the breakfast menu over at Nike HQ, but right now, it seems the Swoosh brand is really loving waffles. After teaming up alongside Jean Paul Gaultier and sacai for a fresh take on the LDV Waffle saga, Nike is now set to serve up a waffle-themed rendition of the Dunk Low silhouette.
Much like its food counterpart, this latest footwear iteration seems to be big on texture. Atop a tonal outsole, this model flaunts a fuzzy and gridded suede upper complete with caramel-like leather overlays. Delivering what looks to be a trio of textures, the finish on this pair has left us hungry for more, (sorry).
Contrast arrives in the form of a white Nike Swoosh on the lateral walls, backed up by a white set of laces. While this pair are no doubt great looking, there is a hidden anecdote of sorts also. Back in the early days of Nike, Bill Bowerman once threw rubber into a waffle maker to come up with the brand's famous waffle sole, giving this shoe a subtle nod to the brand's history.
It's unclear exactly when this shoe is expected to arrive, so make sure to set a release reminder below for all the latest. While you're here, why not check out this upcoming Rayssa Leal x Nike SB Dunk?
