Nike is no stranger when it comes to thinking outside the box. For the past six decades, the Beaverton brand has pioneered some of the sneaker industry's biggest innovations, and their latest advancement is certainly no different. Known as the Nike GO FlyEase, it's being described as the company's "hands-free shoe", and it's truly unlike anything we've seen before.
Crafted from a range of futuristic materials, the GO FlyEase builds around a new technology called a bi-stable hinge. Allowing the sneaker to be in both fully open and fully closed states, this means that sneakerheads and athletes can just step in and step out without having to meet about with pull tabs or laces.
"Usually I spend so much time to get in my shoes," explained champion fencer Bebe Vio. "With the Nike GO FlyEase, I just need to put my feet in and jump on it. The shoes are a new kind of technology, not only for adaptive athletes but for everyone's real life."
Making its debut in three colourways including "White", "Black", and "Dynamic Turquoise", the Nike GO FlyEase will be available on February 15th to select Nike Members with a much wider rollout expected later this year. Let us know what you think of the Swoosh's latest innovation, and while you're here, start February on the right foot with these 15 new Nike drops!
