It look the Beaverton brand are placing a laser focus on the Dunk High this year. After checking out the "Fossil Rose" and "Mineral Slate" last month, we're now taking our first look at the Nike SB Dunk High "New York Mets". While we're unsure if this is an official collaboration, there are so many details that are directly inspired by the legendary baseball team.
Working on top of a ballistic mesh base, light grey suede wraps around the ankle, heel, and toebox for an extra luxurious vibe. Blue and orange accents make their way across the Dunk as a nod to the MLB team's "Away" kit, and on the back of the tongues you'll find a purple circle with the number seven on it, indicating the 7-train connecting Willets Point station to both Flushing Main Street and Hudson Yards.
On the right tongue there's a big red apple with the word "Home Run" underneath it. Rounding off the coveted Nike release is a crisp white midsole that's finalised with a touch of pink at the heel.
Expected to launch within the coming weeks, the Nike SB Dunk High "New York Mets" is a must-have, especially if you're a fan of the Major League Baseball team. Let us know what you think of this colourway, and in related news, the Nike SB Dunk Low "Black Toe" is inspired by the OG Air Jordan 1!
