The Beaverton brand's skateboarding division seems to get inspiration from all different types of things these days. From vintage camcorders to legendary sportscars, they're now looking to retro televisions with the Nike SB Dunk High "TV Signal" - and here's what we know so far!
While we're still unsure what the official colourway name is, we know for a fact that this Dunk High pays homage to that massive TV set that you used to own, more specifically, the rainbow-like bars that used to pop up when there was no signal. Working atop a premium leather base, black suede panels are overlaid on top for an extra luxurious vibe. Patent Swooshes along the lateral and medial side panel add depth to the design too.
Of course, you can't talk about this shoe without mentioning the glossy holographic lenticular prints that can be found at the midfoot and ankle. This is decked out with random white lines for a more realistic effect. It's then all rounded off with a crisp white midsole underfoot, finalising the special edition Nike release.
According to @nikesbornothing, the Nike SB Dunk High Pro "TV Colour Bars" will drop on May 15th in the U.K. and Europe. If you're a sneakerhead from the States, unfortunately this release has been scrapped for you. Let us know what you think of this crazy colourway, and in related news, tear-away details feature on the Nike SB Dunk High "Maui Wowie"!
