The Nike SB Dunk High “Maui Wowie'' seems to be the latest 4/20 sneaker set to release from the Swoosh label’s skateboarding subdivision. It’s not uncommon for the brand to celebrate the controversial date with a limited-edition pair, in-fact some absolute classics were originally 4/20 releases!
This upcoming release is decked-out in a flashy and over-the-top colour-scheme, with vibrant graphics and tear-away details adding to the look. While they won’t be to everybody’s tastes we’ve got absolutely no doubts that this release will be highly desirable!
Pre-torn, it appears that the sneakers will showcase a Hawaiian-print look, with blue, purple and turquoise adorning the uppers. Once ripped off, the panels will instead be made from a fuzzy green suede while others will display a similar Hawaiian pattern, this time in orange and red. Nike’s signature Swoosh logo makes an appearance in natural beige along with Nike SB branding at the tongue and heel.
Hits or orange and beige throughout the pair complete the look and plenty of padding is located around the tongue and heels for an SB signature touch. This all sits on top of a rubber midsole that conceals a full-length Nike Air unit, which combined with Zoom cushioning makes for a comfortable ride.
If you’re looking to cop the upcoming Nike SB Dunk High “Maui Wowie” then it’s rumoured for a release this month, although nothing is set in stone just yet.
