Back in summer, Virgil Abloh unveiled a ton of Off-White x Nike samples at his "Figures of Speech" exhibition at the MCA Chicago. From the Air Jordan 4 to the Air VaporMax, the Nike sneakers were enough to make even the most diehard Three Stripes fan's head turn. With that said, the Off-White x Air Jordan 1 "Canary Yellow" was arguably the highlight of the bunch, and it looks like they could be dropping next year!
Decked out in smooth premium leather from heel to toe, the "Canary Yellow" is painted in white and yellow tones with Abloh's signature use of deconstruction throughout. A stitched-on Swoosh shoots across the lateral and medial side panels, while industrial-inspired markings make their way to the laces and midsole, where you'll find the iconic "AIR" branding that's been synonymous with "THE TEN" since 2017.
Rumours came about after pro-skater Bam Margiela was spotted skating in a pair complete with a glossy black zip tie. Upon taking a closer look at the tag, it reads "C. 2020", hinting at the shoe's release year.
At this moment in time, pretty much nothing else is known about the Off-White x Nike Air Jordan 1 "Canary Yellow", but one thing that's for sure is that it's going to be another huge year for the Louis Vuitton Menswear Designer. Not only will he be releasing his first Air Jordan 5, rumour has it that he'll also be working on his first signature Swoosh shoe - the Off-White x Nike Air Rubber Dunk.
