A few months ago, we dropped the news that 2021 is going to see a line-up of new Off-White x Nike silhouettes, and the first of the year has been unveiled by Virgil Abloh himself in the form of an Off-White x Nike Air Force 1. Recently released images show Abloh signing a pair for LeBron James, emblazoning the canary-yellow pair with “Virgil Was Here” and “Black Lives Matter”. Much like in 2020, this Off-White AF1 debuted at the end of All-Star Weekend, making Abloh the real MVP.
The shoe is dressed in smooth leather with the AF-1 silhouette’s signature breathable perforations on the toe. The midsole matches the bright yellow that can be seen throughout the rest of the sneaker and the only point of contrast comes in the form of the silver-tone Swoosh. Roughly stitched on with black thread, the Swoosh takes pride of place on the side of the shoe, accentuated by a burnt-orange tab and black Off-White lettering on the sole. LeBron’s pair is laced up with matching yellow laces, but it’s clear that this kick will come with a pair of black laces, too, so you can mix up the look.
Of course, an official release date for the Off-White x Nike Air Force 1 ‘Canary Yellow’ has been announced yet; but now the shoe’s been debuted, we reckon a launch will be imminent! So, if you want to be the first to know how you can get your hands on this kick, keep it locked into The Sole Supplier and we’ll let you know when more info lands.
