The Puma Suede Mayu is Your Next Go-To Chunky Sneaker

The PUMA Suede Mayu is one of the hottest silhouettes from the German Giant and we are absolutely loving it. First released in 1968, this is certainly not the first time we've laid eyes on a fresh pair of Suede Mayus, however this is definitely the hardest we've fallen. One of the most versatile sneakers we've styled in a long time, it's no surprise that the Suede Mayu is going to be our go-to sneaker this summer.

The re-imagined basketball sneaker was designed to deliver a softer touch that other trainers on the market lacked at the time. Constructed from buttery-soft leather on the upper, this PUMA Suede delivers style and comfort in waves, whilst the exaggerated silhouette adds that high-end feel that we all crave as part of our shoedrobe.

Sticking with a traditional PUMA theme, the smooth leather detailing along the sidewalls brings that touch of delicacy, whilst neutral-hued laces tie up this sneaker from top to toe. PUMA also added their dedication to '90s Japanese streetwear, with the midsole extending out further than the body, whilst the solid, rigged overlay on the front of the shoe screams 'we mean business'.

Moving away from the monochrome palettes to the colourful iterations, the Blue and Orange hues on these Suedes come with the addition of suede on the upper. Like the tonal laces on the aforementioned styles, the blue pair are tied up with a pleasing cream lace unit, whilst the orange takes a different approach and matches the laces to the rest of the upper. Both pairs are decorated with the off-white accents along the sidewalls and on the midsole and possess a gum-coloured outsole, compared to white on the former two.
