The production rate of fast fashion undeniably takes a huge toll on our environment, and not only that, but sneakers are also noted to have the largest carbon footprint compared to the rest of our outfit. Having said that, the vast majority of sneakerheads don't take this into account. For this reason, renowned Boston sporting goods Reebok converts two of its signature leather-crafted silhouettes into much more environmentally friendly shoes. The all-new Reebok Classic Leather and Club C "Grow" is crafted with at least 50% plant-based materials while still keeping all their respective timeless features. So when you rock these kicks, not only do you look good in them, you also promote sustainable living.
The aforementioned Reebok models boast a cotton canvas upper developed with biobased textiles. Hued in natural-white from heel to toe, the Reebok Classic Leather "Grow" arrives in two colorways: the sidewall stripe of the outset indulges in a yellow tone, while the other pair sees a green tone. Both are complemented with a blue accent that lands on the collar lining and the logo window by the eyestays, and a SweetFoam EVA midsole underfoot that delivers an optimal amount of cushioning and comfort with every step completes the construction.
As for the latter, Reebok's low-top Club C silhouette flaunts a tonal makeover, subtly elevated with contrasting hits of navy across branding details on the side panels, tongue, and insoles alike. The ensemble is rounded off with the sportswear giant's newly-developed BLOOM EVA midsole that is made from sustainably grown castor beans, lined with a natural rubber outsole underfoot created from rubberwood, overall still ensuring that you won't feel any discomfort when you've got these on feet.
The Reebok "Grow" collection is now available at select retailers, so what are you waiting for? Keep green and keep our planet clean! While you're here, adidas just confirmed that Reebok is up for sale! To stay ahead of the best trainer release dates, keep it locked in right here at The Sole Supplier for all the latest news.
