It sure looks like patent leather will play a massive role in 2022. Following the release of the Air Jordan 1 High OG "Patent Bred", we're now taking our first look at a sacai x Nike Blazer Low that's also done up with the infamous material. Images and info courtesy of House Of Heat, here's everything that we know so far.
A glossier version of 2021's "Iron Grey", this brand new colourway switches out the supple suede with a shiny patent leather upper that's sure to turn heads. A matte leather lacing system adds depth to the design, while a crisp white Nike Swoosh shoots across the lateral and medial side panels for a high-contrast look. Further accenting is offered with the double-stacked midsole as well as the two laces and two tongues that add to Chitose Abe's deconstructed design.
While patent leather isn't usually the material of choice when it comes to sneakers, the aforementioned Air Jordan 1 sold out in an instant, and we can see the same thing happening to this Blazer Low. A low-top silhouette that's extremely wearable, the more we see these, the more we're loving them.
According to HoH, the sacai x Nike Blazer Low "Black Patent" will release sometime in 2022, though a more specific date has yet to be officially confirmed. Let us know if you'll be adding these to your collection later in the year, and in related news, the sacai x Nike Cortez has been officially unveiled!
