Retro runners have been dominating the footwear scene over the past year, and it’s not looking like that’s going to change anytime soon. Couple this with the fact it ’s Saucony’s 125th anniversary year, and you know that the brand is going to continue cooking up some heat. For its latest drop, the Pennsylvanian imprint has put a new spin on its ProGrid Omni 9 silhouette, decking it out in a new “Crystal Cave” colourway.
Doing away with the standard silver uppers you’d expect from retro running silhouettes, Saucony has gone all out own the colour palette here, which’ll make this pair a crown jewel in any collection. Inspired by gemstones, the “Crystal Cave” ProGrid Omni 9 sports an iridescent upper, brought to life by a unique treatment that creates a crystal effect that allows the mesh base to change colour.
Limited in nature, the pair comes complete with themed sockliners, and will be packaged in a special-edition box. Set to land on the 20th of October, you’ll be able to secure your size over on Saucony’s site.
In other news, Birkenstock is reuniting with Stüssy.
