After many leaks and teasers, Sean Wotherspoon has finally taken to Instagram to give us our best look yet at the Sean Wotherspoon x adidas ZX 8000 "Super Earth", and it's crazier than we could have ever imagined. First unveiled back in May, his next Three Stripes collaboration is unlike anything we've seen before.
While we still don't know what the shoe will look like as a whole, these close up shots give us a pretty good idea of what to expect. Building on the German giant's classic ZX 8000 model, the shoe features an eco-friendly construction that's made from 100% plant-based materials.
Unlike his Superstar, the side panels ditch the floral pattern, replacing it instead with a series of multicoloured Trefoils along the laterals and a tartan pattern across the medials, resulting in a thrifted-inspired design that fits perfectly with the Round Two co-founder's signature aesthetic.
The tongue is painted in a vibrant yellow hue complete with "Super Earth" scrawled across, while the heel is dipped in red with co-branded detailing to boot. To round it all off, an adidas ZX midsole sits down below, resulting in the perfect balance of comfort, cushioning, and support.
While nothing else has been confirmed just yet, recent rumours suggest that the Sean Wotherspoon x adidas ZX 8000 "Super Earth" will drop sometime in February next year. Let us know what you think of this eco-conscious collaboration, and while you're here, you might as well take a sneak peek at the Pharrell Williams x adidas NMD Hu "Extra Eye" Pack!
