If you're reading this, chances are you are a big fan of The Simpsons TV series. The American animated sitcom made its television debut all the way back in 1989 and is known as the longest-running and most-loved show in history. Though it's not very popular now as it was many years ago, Homer Simpson, his comical family, and the rest of Springfield (a fictional town in the show) remain in the heart of many viewers, and it appears that Germany's Three Stripes brand is also a huge supporter. Launching as part of adidas' on-going A-ZX series, the sportswear giant partners up with the Matt Groening-helmed franchise for The Simpsons x adidas ZX 10000 "Krusty Burger" boasting a flavoursome-theme that will have you craving for a pair.
Official images of the cartoon-themed sneakers are now live and we can guarantee that devoted followers of the show will instantly notice that this ZX 10000 colorway pays homage to Springfield's beloved fast-food restaurant, the "Krusty Burger".
A closer look at these adidas trainers flaunts a textile upper donned by thick black lines throughout to achieve that 2D cartoon aesthetic that'll have you reminiscing about the countless hours you spent binge-watching the show. While brown overlays coat various panels to represent the burger's sesame seed buns, the cream tones at the rear and front, and pink shades midfoot is based on the Krusty the Clown's facial features. The Three Stripe branding and chenille on the heel then indulge in a seafoam green hue to match the restaurant mascot's hair, and red on the Torsion System EVA midsole for the nose. Finally, additional branding details grace the heel, insoles and tongue to further cement the coveted collaboration.
