One of the best things about an anniversary year is that we get to see iconic colourways make their way out of the archives, and that’s exactly what’s happening with this upcoming Air Force 1. The retrospective Nike Air Force 1 Mid “Chocolate” last saw the light of day in 1998, but we’re about to be treated to a reissue for 2022.
Arriving in a soft suede construction, the “Chocolate” Air Force 1 Mid sees rich brown tones dress the mid-cut sneaker’s upper and Velcro ankle strap, whilst cream-coloured details pour over the sockliner, laces, and NikeSwoosh. To differentiate itself slightly from the original pair, the chocolate hue takes on more of a red undertone and contrasting stitching has been added to the off-white midsole. Of course, this sole encases full-length Nike Air cushioning that makes this pair a super comfortable option as well as being a super wearable colourway.
The 1998 “Chocolate” Air Force 1 Mid originally arrived in a black and red box, but this released is rumoured to come housed in a retro-style orange and tan one. Set to drop sometime over the next couple of months, be sure to hit the release reminders for you best chance of getting your hands on the super sweet pair.
Up next, the Air Force 1 gets the "Kentucky" treatment.
