Tom Sachs is no strange when it comes to Nike collaborations. Back in 2012, the power duo teamed up for the Tom Sachs x Nike Mars Yard 1.0, and even to this day, it's still valued at around £3,000 a pop. Now, just in time for the new season, the New York contemporary artist has reunited with the Swoosh for the Tom Sachs x Nike "Transitions" Collection, and it's wearable innovation at its finest.
First unveiled at his "Tea Ceremony" exhibition at the Tokyo Opera Gallery back in summer, the "Transitions" Collection centres around "transparency of materials and of construction". Utilising construction methods that debuted on last year's Tom Sachs x Nike Mars Yard Overshoe, the highlight of the range has got to be the exploding Poncho that uses the same Dyneema fabric used on the shoe and three-layer waterproof breathable fabric.
Other pieces include a pair of fidlock buckle closure Down Shorts, a range of T-shirts, and of course, an astronaut inspired cap that's a nod to Sachs' love of space exploration.
Want the Tom Sachs x Nike "Transitions" Collection in your wardrobe? Then make sure you cop when it finally hits shelves on February 15th! Let us know what you think of the pack, and while you're here, take your first look at the eco-friendly Nike "Space Hippie" Collection.
