The Travis Scott x Nike Air Trainer 1 "Wheat" Features a Removable Protective Sheath

While rumours have been circulating that Travis Scott’s Nike partnership may have come to a halt, it seems that they aren’t necessarily backed up with facts, as new images of the upcoming Travis Scott x Nike Air Trainer 1 “Wheat” have been circulating, hinting that a release may be imminent. While they appear similar to many of the leaked images we saw late last year, it seems that they come complete with an industrial-style protective sheath.

Decked out in a natural-hued colourway, several different shades of brown form a neat-looking combination, while the classic silhouette of the Air Trainer 1 plays host to the colours perfectly. Plenty of details adorn this release, with Nike’s signature Swoosh logo featured on the lateral side and reversed on the medial side, one of Travis’ signature motifs across his Nike collaborations.

Other notable features include “Cactus Corporation” branding across the forefoot straps and heel tabs, along with zipped pockets on the heels. Although the most head-turning detail here has to be the removable protective sheath that’s pictured for the first time, appearing to be crafted from a type of industrial canvas and secured to the sneaker via multiple poppers.
