A few funny looks would have been understandable when such an idea was pitched in the Swoosh design studio. A lace system inspired by a set of ribs, an outsole taking its cues from a human spine, mesh and suede representing muscle fibre? Even now, it all sounds a bit… are you sure, mate?

We kick things off with some timely autumnal hues. The usual mesh layers of the 110 have been subbed out for full shaggy suede, adding a lovely hint of texture up top that complements the supersized proportions of the Big Bubble gum sole perfectly.

It may seem hard to believe that it's taken this long for Nike to wrap the AM95 in blackout GORE-TEX, but boy, are we glad they've come to their senses and done just that. Just about the perfect autumn-winter shoe and one that's destined to please the masses.

Like we said... we're excited about the whole GORE-TEX thing, and we're equally into the shoe when painted in this contrasting Light Bone and Black colourway. A seriously impressive one-two combo from Nike that's going to be very popular indeed.

Another upcoming AM95 that's ready to face the elements head-on. The Winter Wheat Muslin trades in the shoe's familiar layered upper for an all-over moulded shell, giving us a heavy-duty work-boot riff on the classic.

The Big Bubble is the latest to enter the barnyard, putting its own premium spin on the cow print trend that has dominated lookbooks throughout 2026.

Taking the Air Max 95 and overlaying an old-school ACG colour scheme? It's a big, massive yes from us. Earthy-toned suede gives way to subtle hits of Tropical Teal along a reinforced canvas lacing system, giving us a rugged but delightfully retro iteration with just the right amount of nostalgia.

Bold monochrome colour-blocking looks particularly great across the chunky upper and Big Bubble sole of the Air Max 95. Hit that with a lashings of sweet pink trim and a beet-tinged Air Unit, and it's another winner.

If it ain't broke... The staple wavy grey panelling that is so synonymous with the Air Max 95 takes centre stage in this women's release, punctuated marvellously by Smoky Pink accents across the lace loops, Air Max branding and Air Units underfoot.

If you're after something a little stealthier, then the muted gradient colourway of the Pencil Point should do the trick nicely. Inky blacks and slate greys blend seamlessly into one another, serving up an understated silhouette that knows it's good-looking, but doesn't have to shout about it.
