It’s been a pretty crazy year in the sneaker world so far, we’ve seen some of the biggest collaborations in history release alongside plenty of good GR’s, but also countless delays due to the ongoing global pandemic. While we’ve all managed to pick up plenty of sneakers so far, there’s still a lot to look forward to.
Here at The Sole Supplier we’ve taken a few minutes out of our days to let you know exactly what upcoming collaborations we’re most looking forward to and why! So if you’ve ever wondered about our personal tastes when it comes to sneakers, read on to find out more!
Union LA x Jordan 4 SP "Off-Noir" - Miles Denton (Digital Marketing & Paid Social Executive)
It absolutely has to be these Union Jordan 4's! Following up from the LA-based label's first collaboration with Jordan Brand back in 2018, these are just as good. Many people weren't keen on these from the initial images but I've loved these from the get-go. I hope I'll be able to grab a pair.
sacai x Nike VaporWaffle - Kelly Tennant (Content Writer and Social Media Executive)
After months of waiting patiently for this collab to drop, I’ve most been looking forward to the sacai x Nike VaporWaffles. This silhouette is a standout for sure, each detail has been carefully thought out as with sacai’s previous collabs with the Swoosh brand. Everything from the premium fabrics used to the doubled-up details make this shoe a must-cop, you really appreciate the art of the design on this sneaker. The chunky, layered midsole caught my eye straight away, although I wasn’t a lover at first it was seeing the shoe on foot in all it’s chunky glory, revealing a closer look at the detailing that swayed me. I also prefer the rounded shape to the previous sacai x LDWaffle.
PEACEMINUSONE x Nike Air Force 1 "Para-Noise 2.0" - John Francis-Cabanus (Junior Videographer)
I'm a massive fan of G-Dragon and BIGBANG so I need these Air Force 1's! I missed out on the OG release which is one that still pains me now, so I'm going to raffle hard for this new pair. I love how the design changes with wear to reveal more, I wear all my kicks heavily so this concept will work great!
Ruohan Wang x Nike Air Force 1 - Emily Atkins (Digital Marketing & Paid Social Executive)
I'm an Air Force 1 collector so this Ruohan Wang collaboration is a must-have for me regardless. The design is super eye-catching and different so will no doubt turn a few heads on the street. Combined with the limited edition box and laces this is pretty much the perfect collaboration for me!
Fragment x Jordan 3 Retro SP - Jack Aldrich (Content Writer and Digital Marketing Assistant)
I've seen a lot of people calling the Fragment x Jordan 3 collaboration boring or too plain and I can't disagree with them more. These are everything I look for in a collaboration and more! They're super versatile and wearable and look ultra-premium throughout, just look at that leather! The translucent Jordan logo on the heel had me sold from the start, plus I'm a huge fan of Fragment anyway. I really hope I can get my hands on these!
Off-White x Stussy - Chris Moore (Head of PR and Releases)
Off-White x Stussy. I've always been a huge fan of what Stussy has produced with their collabs. Working with the likes of Nike, BAPE, Carhartt and CPFM, I can't remember a collection that hasn't hit. So this venture with Virgil Abloh's label should hopefully be a success too. I'm just hoping it will be more than "STUSSY" written on a few tees and they venture out with some classic Californian styling while sticking with Off-White's premium materials!
KITH x Nike Air Force 1 "London" - Pedrom Pourkashanian (Head of Acquisition)
I'm sort of cheating here because we don't actually know if these Air Force 1's are coming for certain (the image is of an F+F pair), but if these do end up releasing you already know I'll be copping. The Paris, NYC and Japan pairs have all been super clean, plus @arablincoln gave us a hint in one of his live streams that these are likely to drop. Let's hope I can get my hands on these!
