The Viral Lightning McQueen Crocs Are Racing Back To Shelves

Faster than fast, quicker than quick, the Lightning McQueen Crocs are returning.

After first hitting shelves in 2021, the Cars x Crocs collection is set to return this week, with the brand finally confirming the return of two of their most viral releases. The Pixar x Crocs Classic Clog “Lightning McQueen” and “Mater” are returning to shelves this May and are being joined by another brand new colourway.

The first Lightning McQueen Crocs initially dropped back in 2017 but only in children’s sizes, leading fans of the franchise to start a petition. Four years and almost 300,000 signatures later, this wish was granted.

It’s safe to say demand exceeded everyone’s expectations. Queues were formed, websites crashed and resell prices skyrocketed. At the peak of demand, a pair of Lightning McQueen Crocs sold for over £300! It was the same story when the “Mater” Crocs dropped in October 2023, within minutes we were seeing popular sizes sell out.
