It looks like it's going to be a pretty big year for the Yeezy 500. One of Kanye West's most experimental yet most underrated silhouettes, the Desert Rat shoe has only released in a handful of colourways since its inception 2018. While sneakerheads bang on and on about how plush the 350 V2 and the 700 are, many of you think that the 500 is the king of comfort, and you'll be glad to hear that it's dropping in two more colourways this month, namely the Yeezy 500 High "Mist Slate" and the Yeezy 500 High "Wakaran"!
Following the same construction as the previous two Yeezy colourways, the 500 High boasts a high top structure with plush mesh panels and luxe leather elements throughout. Supple suede descends upon the toebox, mudguards, and lacing system, and this is all tied together with a pair of extra thick rope laces. Down below, you'll find a bulbous adiPRENE unit that's as comfortable as it gets.
In terms of colourways, the "Mist Slate" features a light grey upper and a charcoal midsole, while the "Wakaran" seems to be an inverted take on the OG "Slate" that launched back in 2019, complete with a cream top and navy blue bottom.
Expected to launch sometime this month, rumour has it that a third colourway is also in the works, leading us to believe that these are part of a region exclusive release. Let us know which adidas Yeezy 500 High colourway you're feeling the most, and in related news, the Yeezy 500 recently leaked in a crazy colourway!
