If you feel like you've seen the Yeezy 700 V3 "Dark Glow" before, you're not entirely wrong. Back in April 2020, we saw the release of the ultra stealthy "Alvah" colourway which dropped in extremely limited quantities. If you didn't manage to secure your size back in the day, it looks like Kanye West is giving you another chance to cop!
Re-releasing the same colourway with very minor tweaks is certainly nothing new. Just take a look at the "Beluga" and the "Beluga 2.0" for example or the "Alien" and the "Alien Blue". In this instance, the "Dark Glow" features more-or-less the exact same construction and palette as the OG. From the Primeknit base to the RPU caging system all the way to the EVA foam midsole underfoot, it's pretty hard to figure out what's different about this compared to the original, right?
That's because you can't see the changes unless you've turned the lights down. Yeezy fans might remember that the "Alvah" glowed in a ghoulish green hue, but the "Dark Glow" will apparently radiate a bright blue hue instead. This is a very subtle change to the 700 V3 but we think it's enough to warrant an entirely new colourway, because why not?
Expected to drop very soon, the adidas Yeezy 700 V3 "Dark Glow" is rumoured to land during Yeezy Day next month which is pencilled in for August 3rd. Let us know what you think of this colourway, and in related news, the Yeezy Boost 700 V2 "Mauve" has just been unveiled!
