Are you ready for one of the boldest and brightest Yeezys ever made? After leaking back in October, we're now getting our first in-person look at the Yeezy Boost 350 V2 CMPCT "Slate Red". The second colourway to grace Kanye West's newly-announced CMPCT line, here's everything that we know so far.
Building on the iconic 350 V2 that's been a sneaker staple since 2015, the "Slate Red" features a full Primeknit upper that fits just like a sock. An elasticated collar that's swiped straight from the 450 offers a secure fit, while Ye's infinite lacing system also makes a comeback. Throughout the sea of red you'll find puddles of earthy brown that provide a subtle yet striking pop of contrast, and to round off the upper they've fully removed the heel pull tab so that you get a sleek and streamlined look.
Of course, you can't talk about the "Slate Red" without mentioning the ribbed midsole underfoot. Infused with adidas Boost foam, this is as comfortable as it gets.
According to our sources, the adidas Yeezy Boost 350 V2 CMPCT "Slate Red" will release on Valentine's Day this year, so that's February 14th for those who don't already know. Hands down one of the more unique colourways that Ye has ever dropped, let us know what you think of these! While you're here, here are the best Valentine's Day-inspired sneakers of all-time!
