Last week, we took our first ever look at the freshly-unveiled 350 V2 CMPCT with the introduction of the "Slate Blue". A new take on Kanye West's most popular silhouette, it borrows elements from several different models and mashes it all into one. Now, we're already getting a preview of a second colourway with the Yeezy Boost 350 V2 CMPCT "Slate Red", and it's giving us serious "Red October" vibes.
Remember back in the day when customisers use to dye their "Triple Whites" completely in red? Well, five years later and the Yeezy crew have finally caught on. Featuring a fully reworked Primeknit upper that seems to take inspiration from the 450, the sidewalls are contrasted with earthy brown detailing for a look that is sure to turn heads. Ye's infinite lacing system seen on the 380 and 700 MNVN can be found here, and if you don't like it then it comes with a more traditional pair straight out of the box.
Of course, you can't talk about this shoe without mentioning the adidas Boost midsole down below. Housed within a semi-translucent ribbed unit, this has been providing sneakerheads with an insane amount of comfort and cushioning since 2016. As the old saying goes, if it ain't broke don't fix it, right?
Expected to release sometime in February of next year, the adidas YZY 350 V2 CMPCT "Slate Red" is a definite eye-catcher. Let us know what you think of this rouge colour scheme, and in related news, the Yeezy Boost 350 V2 MX Pack has been unveiled!
