UV changing materials are definitely nothing new when it comes to sneakers, but for the first time ever, Kanye West is using it on his signature 350 V2 line with the upcoming Yeezy Boost 350 V2 "Light"! A colourway that's been in the rumour mill since the start of the month, we're now taking our first look yet thanks to these brand new shots from Yeezy Mafia!
While the "Light" may look like seven billion other Yeezys, there's more than meets the eye. Boasting a "Triple White"-like Primeknit upper, this shoe may look simple and sleek from the outset but as soon as it comes in contact with heat or sunlight you'll see some very subtle changes throughout.
For one, the mesh side stripe along the laterals transforms from a pristine white to a clean beige. You'll also find soft lilac accents across the toebox and heel as well. While this might not be as in your face as other UV-infused pairs such as the Civilist x Nike SB Dunk Low from last year, it's still enough to make a lasting impression.
Elsewhere, you'll find the classic rope laces and an adidas Boost midsole down below. While Ye could've just left the outsole white and called it a day, he's dipped it in a light grey tone for a bit of much-needed contrast.
Pretty much nothing else is known about the adidas Yeezy Boost 350 V2 "Light" at this moment in time, but our sources tell us that it'll be dropping on August 21st! Let us know what you think of this upcoming release, and while you're here, you might as well take a look at these Yeezy Boost 350 V2 "Mono Clay" shots which show off the new upper material!
