We don't really know what's going on over at Yeezy, but whatever it is, we're beyond hyped. Following the release of the "Beluga RF" which celebrated five years since the launch of the original "Beluga", we're now taking our first look at the upcoming Yeezy Boost 350 V2 "Onyx". Bearing a striking resemblance to colourways of the past, more specifically the "Black Friday" Pack of 2016, this ultra stealthy rendition is a must-have in our eyes.
Harkening back to the iconic "Oreo", this is the third time that the "Onyx" moniker has been used throughout Kanye West's line-up: the first time being on the 380 and the second on the QNTM. Boasting an all-black Primeknit construction, a dark grey stripe shoots across the lateral panel complete with SPLY-350 branding. Thick rope laces tie everything together while crosshatched stitching can be found along the centre of the 350 V2 starting from the toebox and ending at the heel.
Speaking of which, the usual back pull tab has been completely removed for an OG aesthetic, and down below a slightly see-through midsole houses an insanely comfortable adidas Boost unit that continues to lead the way even half a decade later.
There's no word yet on when the adidas Yeezy Boost 350 V2 "Onyx", but we predict that it will drop alongside the "Dazzling Blue" sometime in Spring 2022. Let us know what you think of this future classic, and while you're here you might as well take a sneak peek at the Yeezy Boost 350 V2 "Cotton White"!
