Well, we certainly didn't expect this. The Yeezy Boost 700 "Wave Runner" absolutely transformed the industry when it was first unveiled back in 2017 as part of Kanye West's Yeezy Season line-up. A trend that was first seen as sort of a gimmick back in the day, Ye's take on the chunky sneaker had everyone's attention. Regarded by many sneakerheads as one of the most iconic Yeezy colourways ever made, we're now getting reports that they'll be getting a major restock very soon!
Officially dubbed the "Solid Grey", the "Wave Runner" is as premium as it gets. Colour blocked to perfection, light grey leather and suede panels are contrasted by stark black nubuck, while pops of turquoise mesh also add a touch of colour into the mix. This, combined with the use of "Semi Frozen Yellow" laces, results in an aesthetic that has certainly stood the test of time.
Of course, you can't talk about this 700 without mentioning the chunky midsole down below. Highly sculpted in its design, it's infused with adidas' signature Boost technology for comfort and cushioning that has literally been taken to new heights. This is then accented with bright orange ovals at the heel and lined with a black rubber outsole, finalising the awe-inspiring aesthetic.
Now for that all-important restock date! If you missed the three previous re-releases, you'll be glad to hear that the adidas Yeezy Boost 700 OG "Wave Runner Solid Grey" will be making a comeback this March! Let us know if you'll be adding these to your personal collection, and in related news, the Yeezy Boost 350 V2 "Oreo" will also be returning in 2022!
