The Yeezy Boost 700 Wave Runner Solid Grey is about as controversial as it is sought-after. When Kanye West first unveiled this silhouette it was received with plenty of criticism, referred to as a 'Dad Shoe' thanks to the chunky aesthetic. But it wasn't long before sneakerheads saw the appeal. The Wave Runner started a trend for oversized sneaks with many brands following in the footsteps of this Yeezy release.

Just like a retro 90s silhouette, the Yeezy 700 Solid Grey features contrasting shades and bold hits of colour. A set of neon yellow laces are included whilst soft nylon and suede features across the sidewall. Grey is the predominant colour but accents of teal green and black give an all together more subdued look.
Whilst this shoe doesn't showcas adidas's visible Boost technology, this innovative material is hidden away in the midsole. That said, you can be assured of re-energising comfort which every stride. The Yeezy Wave Runner is finished off with hits of orange to that midsole which rises high in what's now seen as the chunkiest Kanye West shoe ever designed.
