The Nike TN Air Max Plus – or just the TN for most of us – is one of the most celebrated silhouettes. Seeing somewhat if a revival of late, the sneaker celebrated its 20th year in 2018 with the release of the Tuned Air in Hyper Blue.
This time around, the TNs are feeling the nostalgia. They're bringing back the wave grid pattern – something we're recently seen in The Nike React Element 55 – which is definitely in keeping with everyone's current obsession with vintage, deconstructed aesthetics. The neon yellow and blue geometric pattern appears all over the upper, with the same gradient appearing on the abstractly-shaped arch support.
A clear Air Max Plus cage blends in with the mesh of the upper and a medium sized Swoosh sits midfoot in yellow with a blue trim. A strip of blue leather-like textile also wraps around the perimeter of the sneaker on both sides and the heel, where a raised TN Air label sits on the heel counter.
Underfoot, there's the iconic Tuned Air Sole Unit, the clear bubbles peeking through the white midsole, and a black rubber outsole providing traction. This white midsole ties in perfectly with the white laces and inner lining that peeks out at the collar of the sneaker.
What are your thoughts on these TNs? Are you going to be going full 90s and rock them with a double denim ensemble, or will you keep it more casual with some relaxed skinny jeans and a hoodie? Let us know in the comments!
The Nike TN Air Max Plus in Blue Grid will be available from Nike from the 7th of February, so keep it locked to The Sole Supplier for more info when they're released.
