In the past two years, Nike has honoured Major League Baseball's very own Jackie Robinson with both an Air Force 1 silhouette and a Dunk Low, and now the Swoosh brand is looking to add an Air Max 1 '86 to the mix.
For those unfamiliar with Jackie Robinson, he was the first African American to play in a Major League Baseball game in the modern era of the sport. With 2022 marking the 75th anniversary of the event, the Swoosh brand has now readied a stylish Air Max 1 '86, complete with "42" themed details.
Two key colours work in unison across this pair to deliver a clean finish. White decorates the lower portion of the shoes with the suede mudguard features across the exterior. Backing this up, we see two separate shades of navy exhibited across both mesh underlays and suede overlays. Splashes of gold can be seen at the upper eyestays, heel branding and "42" themed dubrae and tongue badge.
It's unclear at this time just exactly when we can expect the Jackie Robinson Nike Air Max 1 to land, so be sure to hit 'Notify me' below for the latest. Up next, the Travis Scott x Jordan Jumpman Jack appears in a "University Red" colourway.
