Boston-based brand New Balance rapidly climbed the ladder of the best footwear labels over the recent years through retro releases and covetable collaborations. The 2002R, specifically, is one of New Balance's highly sought after models by the masses. And this time, its latest setup won't arrive so street-friendly but hiking.
Unveiled first by footwear designer Yue Wu (creator of the famous 2002R "Refined Future" collection), the 2002R "Brown" sample shows a hiking-inspired setup — in colour and construction.
A bold brown tone predominantly coats the entire upper, with hits of green, navy, and yellow hues adding contrasting touches. Additional elements of traditional hiking boots appear on this pair, like the metal hook eyelets with red rope shoelaces. Of course, the NB2002R wouldn't be complete without branding details on the tongue, insoles, and heel, as well as the ever-comfortable N-ergy midsole unit underfoot which is also in black
The New Balance 2002R "Hiking Brown" currently has no release date, but we suggest you check back here at The Sole Supplier to be notified of all the latest New Balance drops and collabs, so you don't miss out! In related news, the atmos x New Balance 2002R is in the works.
