Article updated 26/1/24: Following initial images from November, more pairs of Travis Scott and Jordan Brand's latest collaborative venture have now appeared online. Sporting the same colour blocking as the previously seen pair, these latest images give us an up close and personal preview of what we can expect from the "Black Olive" colourway.
Sporting a premium finish made up of smooth suede, the "Black Olive" flaunts a number of details including Travis' famed reverse Swoosh, Cactus Jack insignia, and the secondary sloppy-drawn face. This pair is expected to land much later in 2024, so for now, enjoy the photos courtesy of user @sneakertigger below.
Article updated 30/11/23: Just over one week since rumours started circulating around this shoe, and our first look at an IRL pair is here. Arriving from a relatively unknown source going by the name of @hidefx.xxusa, this might just turn out to be Travis Scott's latest Air Jordan 1 Low.
Now, before we all get a bit too excited here, there is a very strong possibility that could be a fake based on the mock-up images by @zSneakerHeadz. Flaunting the same colour blocking and detailing, this pair is practically identical to the images seen last week.
You can kind of look at it one or two ways, really. Either @zSneakerHeadz is damn good at creating a mock-up, or @hidefx.xxusa is an ace at making fake pairs, either way, we're likely going to have to wait a little bit longer before we get any concrete details. Original article 21/11/23: Just when you thought Travis Scott was done with the AJ1 Low silhouette, it would seem rumours are suggesting otherwise. As details are released surrounding the Jumpman Jack silhouette we're due to see next fall, new information has come to light pointing towards the release of yet another rendition of this fan favourite.
According to news leaked by According to the @zSneakerHeadz and Sneaker Files, Travis Scott will release a “Black Olive” rendition of the Air Jordan 1 Low silhouette next fall, adding to an already extensive list of upcoming drops.
It's unclear how the duo has obtained this information, but if previous leaks are anything to go by, they're nothing short of reliable. Said to bear a “Black/Sail/Medium Olive/Muslin” colourway, the pair has produced a mock-up of what the silhouette will look like. As you can see, the Travis formula is still in effect, pairing muted shades of olive with deep black and contrasting white/aged details.
It remains to be seen just when and if we'll get our hands on this silhouette, so make sure to keep it locked in right here for all the latest as it unfolds. Up next, Ronnie Fieg's Kith x ASICS GEL-LYTE III is beautiful, but you can't have 'em.
