The Nike (or “Big Window” as it’s often referred to) has enjoyed an impressive comeback this year, and now Nike is gearing up to re-release yet another OG variation in the form of the Nike Air Max BW “Sport Red”. Decked out in white and black with hits of red, this pair was designed by Tinker Hatfield back in 1991 and remains popular with Air Max collectors around the world today. If you’ve been sleeping on the BW until now then this could just be the perfect colourway to add to your collection.
Showcasing an athletic appearance, the sneakers are crafted from a range of fabrics including mesh, canvas and suede, with Nike’s signature Swoosh logo adorning both the lateral and medial sides. Range-specific Air Max branding is located on the heels, while undefined typeface branding sits on the tongues. White low-profile laces complete the aerodynamic look here.
This is all situated on top of a white and black midsole unit that conceals all the cushioning you’d expect and a large Air Max unit under the heel. As far as we know, these are set to come in an OG box and will come complete with retro anatomical arch supports, staying true to the original 1991 release!
If you’re as excited as we are regarding the return of this classic pair, then keep it locked in right here at The Sole Supplier, as they’re expected to begin dropping retailers in the coming weeks, and we’ll be keeping you updated with all the best places to cop.
