Updated 02/10/23: Now that Travis Scott's "Utopia" album has had a little time to settle, the artist is getting ready to drop his Air Jordan 1 Low Golf. With its release just a day away, Nike has now taken to its SNKRS app to reveal the criteria you have to fill if you have hopes of getting your hands on a pair.
According to an article over on Nike, the Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1 Low Golf will be dropping via Exclusive Access only. To be in with the chance of qualifying, Nike members must fit the following criteria in order to be selected.
Members must have:
It then goes on to note that not every member that meets the criteria will be selected.
As far as the shoe goes, it comes dressed in an olive-toned colourway, and boasts Cactus Jack branding much like the lifestyle version. In terms of differences, it looks as if the shoe will boast a different sole, a stiffer midsole and (if the Air Max 1 Golf) is anything to go by, water-resistant uppers.
No doubt Nike will have some fans reeling after this announcement, but is it a fair way of making sure pairs end up with real fans? Let us know your thoughts, and in the meantime, check out how this golf store is launching the shoe.
Original Article: Well, well, well. What do we have here? After the news that Travis Scott’s last Air Jordan 1 was to be his last, a new pair seems to be doing the rounds - if you’re into golf, that is.
That’s right - Travis Scott’s next Air Jordan 1 has been given the golf treatment, and unless you’re planning to wear these on your round, then we might suggest sticking to the OGs. Shared by leaker xcmade, the pair still retains its earth-toned palette and leather and nubuck construction, as well as Cactus Jack branding throughout. Though at first glance these don’t look too much different, there are some serious tell-tale signs that this isn’t your ordinary Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1 colourway, as it has a glaringly obvious Jordan Golf tongue tab, and most likely, a completely different sole underfoot.
Expected to release later this year, the pairs are set to arrive in a special-edition box with additional laces. Hit the link below to stay up to date with the latest release info, and ICYMI - don't buy your Jordans from SHEIN.
