Two Legends Collide In the Form of the BAPE x VANS Collection

There aren’t many brands in the Japanese streetwear scene that are as legendary as A Bathing Ape. Headed up by none other than Nigo, the label has single-handedly sculpted the culture over the years. For the first time ever, BAPE is teaming up with Californian footwear label Vans to launch two collaborative takes on legendary silhouettes, the Sk8-Hi 38 DX and the Authentic 44 DX.

Both of these models are iconic in their own right, so combining them with BAPE’s signature camouflage patterns and motifs is a match made in heaven. First up is the SK8-Hi and it strips things back to basics, opting for a black/white colourway, decorated only with outlines of the “ABC Camo” print, while a splash of colour is located on the tongue tab and heels in the form of the classic Vans Off The Wall logo.

The Authentic instead opts for a classic green/brown/black camouflage colourway and is crafted from durable canvas, adding to the militaristic look of the design. Black laces and trims complete the look, with both models finished with a clean white midsole unit and iconic Vans waffle outsole. It’s safe to say that with this capsule, less is most definitely more!
