Known for its regular Nike collaborations, Japanese streetwear brand UNDERCOVER has just unveiled a brand-new silhouette as part of it’s AW22 collection, and it bears a striking resemblance to a popular model from years gone by. As of yet we don’t have a name for the slip-on sneakers, but it goes without saying that they instantly give off Air Moc vibes. While the Air Moc was once a popular everyday sneaker for many, we haven’t seen the sneaker since 2017, so could this be a well-overdue update?
The uppers seem to mirror that of the aforementioned sneakers, with a one-piece laceless design that’s fastened via a toggle at the heels. UNDERCOVER’s signature “Chaos and Balance” branding adorns the design, while any evidence of Swoosh branding is hidden, with the sneakers instead option for a minimalistic look.
Two colourways have been previewed thus far, a whited-out version and a desert camo iteration, with both pairs showcasing red detailing. The sole units featured here seem vastly different from the Air Moc though, and from this first look it’s likely they could even be React midsoles, offering plenty of modern-day comfort and support to make these the ideal city steppers.
If you’re already eyeing up these futuristic kicks then you’ll have to stay tuned for a little bit longer just yet, as so far there’s no further details regarding this mysterious release. Keep it locked in right here at The Sole Supplier for more details as they’re unveiled and while you’re here check out the rest of our site for awesome stories like your first look at the AMM x Air Jordan 2!
