The Drake NOCTA x Nike Air Force 1 "Certified Lover Boy" Has a Release Date

Of all the Air Force 1s that are releasing this year, the Drake NOCTA x Nike Air Force 1 "Certified Lover Boy" is the pair that tops our list. After being plagued by rumours that the sneaker would never drop due to ongoing production issues, Nike dropped a very small number of the sneakers earlier this year, but it looks like a wider release is set to follow very soon.

Rumours of Drake's Air Force 1 have been circling around the sneakersphere for over two years now, but the official images now give us our best look yet at the Champagne Papi's take on the iconic basketball shoe. Based off the classic "Triple White" colourway that we all know and love, the tumbled leather looks pretty luxurious. A Swoosh shoots across the lateral and medial side panels, while NOCTA's signature three star logo is finely embroidered around the left heel. The pair also comes with metal-tipped laces and baby blue cube letter bead attachments.

The phrase "Love you forever" replaces the usual "Air", and the classic star-filled outsole has been dropped in favour of hundreds of tiny hearts that fall in line with the collaboration's theme. This unit is apparently the reason why the NOCTA AF1 was rumoured to have been cancelled. According to our sources, Nike was having problems with mass-producing this midsole and they hadn't been able to find a solution for it. Thankfully, it seems to have been sorted, as you can see from the images.

2022 marks the AF1's 40th birthday, so what better way to round out the year than by dropping the NOCTA x Nike Air Force 1 "Certified Lover Boy".
