As the retro runner trend continues to move at pace, ASICS is doing an excellent job at propelling itself back into the spotlight. Fresh off the back of a collaborative project with JJJJound, the techy shoe brand has joined forces with TAKAHIROMIYASHITATheSoloist - although the chosen silhouette offers something a little different to the norm.
Quite the departure from mesh bases and TPU casing, the duo has turned its attention to something more formal, having managed to create a Chelsea boot-runner hybrid. The uppers mimic the boot's classic shape, with black leather making up the construction. Underfoot, the sole unit is the same as seen on the ASICS GEL-QUANTUM 360 - with exposed GEL units arriving in a tinted black shade to blend in with the boot’s formal appearance.
The boots are set to launch on the 14th of October on TAKAHIROMIYASHITATheSoloist, so if you’ve been looking to add something a little smarter to your rotation then they’re definitely worth checking out.
Up next, these are the three Salomon silhouettes every sneakerhead should own.
