Vans is on a home run right now. The brand is celebrating 60 years and keeps coming out with banger after banger. Following a campaign featuring Travis Barker, Hayley Williams and SZA, and an embellished collection of Old Skools, the new drop is an Old Skool take on the Archive Flame.

Vans has reimagined the flame, one of its most cult motifs, across three iterations of the Old Skool. There is a black leather version, with a pebbled leather upper and a red/yellow flame appliqué and embroidered detailing; a green satin take with a Japanese Sukajan influence, purple/silver flame and metallic elements; and a marshmallow canvas style with utilitarian references and a blue/white flame. Each pair is finished with a metallic silver leather Sidestripe and waxed cotton laces.
Rooted in Californian skate and surf cultures, Vans is celebrating its 60th birthday this year – putting the Old Skool, one of its most significant shoes, in the forefront. Born in 1977, the Old Skool gained cult status among skateboarders (its hard-wearing, sturdy sole is unmatched), punks, later on the hip-hop crowd, and the Tumblr kids of the 2010s, seeping in music, film and different subcultures throughout the decades.
The black and green iterations of the Vans Archive Flame drop on April 1st at vans.com, while the marshmallow colourway will be available across select retailers.
