Christmas is over and now it's time to start getting excited about the next holiday. Whether you celebrate Valentine's or Galentine's, you're going to fall in love with the first Valentine's-themed sneaker unveiled for February 2022. Meet, the Jordan 1 Mid "Valentine's Day".
Love 'em or hate 'em, Mids are here to stay (we wrote about why people hate Mids so much here, FYI!), so it's only right that we start to see them decorated with wonderfully garish hues. We were treated to the "Ugly Sweater" iteration over the festive period, and now the silhouette is garnished with roses and varying shades of pink and red specially for the romantics amongst us.
The cherry-red tones take over Michael Jordan's Wings insignia on the ankle panelling, the Jumpman at the top of the tongue, and both Nike Swooshes on the medial and lateral sidewalls. The latter appears in a shiny material, standing out compared to the subtle addition of the embossed bunch of roses on the heel.
Underfoot, tones of light fuchsia dress the rubber outsole before melting into the crisp-white midsole, and matches to the nubuck overlays on the toe cap and around the eyelets. Not differing in shade too much, the tumbled leather across the toe box and mid-panel add a premium feel to this Mid, and "Mauve" colouring on the heel and ankle pumps up the love even further.
All finished up with a mesh tongue, "Sail" lace unit and cushioned ankle, all the lovers will have their sights set on this AJ1 Mid.
