Why the Nike Air Force 1 Is the Key To Spring Styling

The spring and summer months are right around the corner, and that always seems to call for a rotation refresh. The brighter days and warmer weather provide the perfect conditions for fresh white kicks, and when it comes to summer staples there’s one silhouette that we’d consider a must-have, and that’s the Nike Air Force 1.

Having celebrated its 40th anniversary last year, the humble AF1 is still looking just as good as ever, and that’s a true testament to Bruce Kilgore’s classic design. And, what’s even better is that it's such a staple style that it even comes in Grade-School sizes, meaning your rotation can look better for less. First up, it’s hard to beat a classic, but we’re absolutely loving the metallic Swoosh on this pair, which just seems to elevate the shoe a little more. With striking blue accents and a fresh white base, it just ticks all our boxes. Catch us styling these with a cropped tee and shorts in the summer, and a pair of baggy blue jeans in the more transitional months.

Next up, pink details are always a win in our books, but this pair offers a more subtle take on the colour thanks to its worn-away-looking design. A muted ‘Light Madder Root” Swoosh and matching speckled midsole give the pair their colour, while the heel tab branding has been swapped out for something a bit more girly, with a rainbow graphic replacing the usual Nike branding.
