With only several days to go until the re-release of the Yeezy Boost 350 V2 'Zebra' we ask an important question, will it be an easy win?!
Whilst it's always hard to predict with hyped releases such as these, the following three factors will no doubt influence your chances of securing a pair.
1.Number of retailers
Unlike the Yeezy 350 White which re-launched exclusively at adidas this summer, the Yeezy Zebra will go live across all major UK and European stockists. As such, there'll be multiple ways to cop including the countless raffles.
Even if you don't get lucky via adidas UK on Friday morning, there'll likely be several other stockists going live with a full-size run. Stay glued to @thesolesupplier for links to those.
2. Demand
Just how many people want to cop the Yeezy Zebra?! More importantly, is this release likely to be targeted by re-sellers?!
Of course, whenever there's potential to make money, tons more people will be queuing on the morning of release, just in the hope to make a quick buck. But let's face it, the Zebras aren't the valuable commodity they once were. Looking on eBay and other resell platforms, it's clear to see that prices have already crashed since this restock got confirmed several months ago. You can already pick up a pair for as low as £230!
With that being the case, it's unlikely that re-sellers will be so eager to cop multiple pairs. At least, not compared with previous Yeezy 350 styles. Other factors might lower demand for this release, the fact this is now the third time they've launched and don't forget that the Yeezy 350 Sesame launches at the end of the month. Plenty of sneakerheads will surely be saving for that colourway.
3. Stock numbers
This is arguably the main consideration when determining if the Yeezy Zebra will be quick to sellout. Only several weeks ago, the Yeezy 700 Mauve launched via adidas yet never sold-out. You can still cop to this day!
Now imagine if this same style was limited to only a few thousand pairs. Resell prices would be way over £500 and people would be claiming this as the best Yeezy of all time. Instead, those inflated stock numbers have been widely criticised. Many sneakerheads might be quick to say the Yeezy 700 is "Dead!";, but those who appreciate that chunky aesthetic will no doubt be relieved for the easy cop.
Let's hope the same can be said for the Yeezy Zebra. According to sources, over 140k units are loaded onto adidas US alone. Many are speculating that this could be another style to stay in stock for several hours or more.
What's your chances?!
Taking into consideration all of the above, it's looking quite positive ahead of Friday's launch.
